State Farm raising awareness for teen driver safetyPosted On Tue, October 11, 2011
A recent commercial was released by auto insurance company State Farm in order to raise awareness for the fifth annual National Teen Driver Safety Week.
The week was created to inform consumers of teen driver safety, as car collisions are the leading cause of death of young drivers. The insurer has spent approximately $20 million in research into the safety of these people, and has also partnered with multiple law enforcement groups, as well as The Children's Hospital of Philadelphia. One finding was that families need to be given help to aid their young people to become safe drivers in their formative years.
"Teen car crashes affect all who share our roads," said Laurette Stiles, vice president of Strategic Resources at State Farm. "During National Teen Driver Safety Week and year-round we invite everyone to join the national conversation aimed at preventing unnecessary injuries and loss of life."
Parents of teen drivers may want to examine a multitude of car insurance quotes to not only save money, but ensure that their children are fully covered in case an accident occurs.
