State Farm provides tools to help parents teach young drivers

Posted On Wed, October 26, 2011

A recent announcement from auto insurance provider State Farm promoted interactive tools to help parents teach their kids to be smart and safe drivers.

Many parents are not sure they are prepared to teach their children how to drive properly. Despite these people having the most significant influence on young drivers, six in 10 parents are worried about teaching a child to drive. The insurance company responded by releasing "Road Trips" and "Road Aware" - two interactive tools to encourage smart driving habits.

"These online tools are the latest in State Farm's $20 million commitment to reducing teen driving related crashes and deaths," said Laurette Stiles, vice president of strategic resources at State Farm. "It's our privilege to make them accessible to everyone, at no charge, as part of our efforts to help teens drive more safely."

Adults who are concerned about their children hitting the road alone may not only want to ensure they have all the tools they need to succeed and be safe, but they may also want to be certain their kids have a good insurance coverage plan, in case an accident occurs. Going online to secure the best auto insurance rates may help parents find something that will put their minds at ease.
