Improving money matters a leading resolution this year

Posted On Tue, January 8, 2013

A new survey indicates that financial improvement was among the top goals Americans committed to when the new year arrived.

According to Harris Interactive, approximately one in every four Americans said that managing personal finances was their top resolution in 2013. The only commitments to which adults were more likely to devote themselves were losing weight and exercising more frequently.

One of the best ways adults can prepare not only for themselves but also their loved ones is through life insurance. By taking advantage of affordable life insurance rates, policyholders can purchase a policy that will give themselves and their loves ones a sense of assurance that they'll be protected in the event something happens to them. Life insurance is also often used for retirement savings purposes.

Though older Americans tend to be more likely to purchase life insurance than young people, it's the younger generation that's more inclined to have a New Year's resolution. Harris found that younger adults are more prone to make a resolution than those senior to them, 58 percent to 22 percent, respectively.
