Hyundai takes top billing for brand loyaltyPosted On Mon, July 18, 2011
A recent study reveals that new and used car owners have a new favorite brand of automobile when it comes to loyalty.
According to vehicle valuation company Kelley Blue Book, Hyundai has taken the top spot for brand loyalty, beating out Honda and Toyota, which had been perennial favorites.
"Hyundai's product renaissance is benefitting the company not just by attracting an all-new customer base, but by helping them to retain current loyal Hyundai owners, as well," said Arthur Henry, market intelligence manager for KBB.com. "This latest brand loyalty analysis from KBB.com is a testament to the power of attractive vehicle designs and intriguing marketing in the minds of in-market car shoppers as they consider their next vehicle.'
Kelley Blue Book states brands as a whole have lost favor with the carbuying public due to a poor economy and a plethora of safety recalls. However, several foreign-made models have bucked that trend, as Kia and Mini were other brands that finished strong in favorability ratings.
While brand loyalty may not play a role into what auto insurance rates will be, its make and model are typically taken into consideration.
