Allstate releases America's Best Drivers ReportPosted On Wed, August 29, 2012
The Allstate Insurance Company recently released its America's Best Drivers Report, which examines 200 cities and determines which locations have the country's safest drivers.
Allstate has been producing this report for eight years, and this year, for the fifth time, motorists in Sioux Falls, South Dakota were reported to be the country's safest drivers. The rankings are based on citizens' car collision likelihood and frequency.
According to the report, Sioux Falls residents get into auto accidents an average of once every 13.8 years, and are 27.6 percent less likely to be involved in an accident than the national average.
For the eighth year in a row, Phoenix, Arizona, came in at the top of the list for cities with more than one million residents. Phoenix drivers are 1.6 percent less likely to be involved in an auto accident than the national average, and get into fender-benders once every 10.2 years.
Allstate publishes the report in order to praise and draw attention to safe driving, which the insurer claims is all too rare in this country.
Many insurance providers, Allstate included, also offer discounted auto insurance rates for drivers with excellent track records.
