Community Programs
Blue Cross of Idaho is a leader in the state for participation in the United Way Program. In 2002, Blue Cross of Idaho employs gave a record breaking $96,000 to the United Way to be used to help those in need in their community. In 2005, their Blue Crew volunteer program raised more than $16,000 for the American Heart Association, Komen Boise Race for the Cure, and the Idaho Humane Society. Blue Cross of Idaho has worked through the state’s seven health districts in conjunction with over 300 physicians on an anti-smoking campaign that has reached over 15,000 first graders.
