Founded in 1985, Health Partners health insurance and health care plans offer assistance to Medicaid and Medicare recipients in Southeastern Pennsylvania. Health Partners is a not-for-profit health plan system helping the Medical Assistance population in the area and helps with Medicaid managed care. Health Partners health insurance offers assistance with:

Qualifying for Health Partners Health Insurance
Health Partners health insurance is only available to individuals in the Southeastern Pennsylvania area who are currently on Medical Assistance. Individuals, seniors, and families who receive Medical Assistance are eligible for Health Partners. Children who are eligible for financial assistance under Medicaid are also eligible. Health Partners health insurance offers a choice from over:

Services Provided
Families who qualify and receive Health Partners health insurance gain access to the following services:

- Prenatal and Maternity Care
- Parenting classes
- Diabetes care training
- Kids Klub membership
- Member Services Community office
- Immunizations and check-ups for kids

- Lead poisoning prevention
- Quit smoking program
Services That are not Provided
Services not provided through Health Partners health insurance include:
- Services not ordered by network doctors unless for emergency situations
- Services not required for a medical problem
- Experimental procedures
- Mental health services
- Substance abuse services
- Services that are available through other insurance or programs accessible by the individual.
(Mental health and substance abuse services may be accessible through the County HealthChoices behavioral health provider.)
Senior Partners Plan
Health Partners also has a Medicare plan for seniors called Senior Partners. The Senor Partners plan was created in 1996 and allows individuals who area already enrolled in Medicare to increase their benefits and choices.
- With the Senior Partners Gold plan there are no additional premiums beyond Medicare Part B and the program allows individuals the ability to go to in-network doctors without referrals and there are additional benefits.
- With the Senior Partners Gold Rx program, members pay a small additional premium in addition to the regular Medicare Part B, have all the same benefits as with the Senior Partners Gold, but get additional assistance with prescription drug costs.
- With the Senior Partners Silver plan, Medicare recipients pay an additional small premium to increase benefits through the Medicare Part D.
